John holds a masters degree in sociology and a master’s degree in psychology. He is a licensed psychotherapist, Nationally Certified Counselor, a Certified Addictions Counselor specialist, and EMDR therapist, and a full member of EMDRIA the organization of EMDR therapists. John has been trained in cogitative behavior therapy, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Multi-Systemic Therapy, Family Preservation, and more. He has presented at national and international conferences and continues to guest lecture at colleges and universities.
